Peter Dinklage is voice acting as your main companion in this game. When I was playing the alpha, I did not even realize that it was him. I will assume that the recordings were rushed. In the beta this was slightly improved.

But it does feel nice to have the awesome Tyrion Lannister with you while you are playing the game. He does not do much else then give you a slight comfort of not being alone in the universe.

    Gameplay

This is a first person shooter, with that in mind you can not expect miracles in gameplay. However, the controls are responsive and the interaction with the world is enjoyable. The levels are huge and encourages exploring. Thankfully the players will be provided with a bike for faster travel.

You can choose between three powerful Guardian classes, each with their own special abilities. This is where the main variation in the game becomes apparent. Think carefully of what kind of play-style you prefer before choosing your class.

    Graphics

Bungie has always made games with pretty visuals, just look at Halo. The graphics in Destiny will make your jaw drop. I had to, on several occasions, make a pause in my adventures, just to take in the wonderful skyline, buildings, horizon and landscapes.

The character models look amazing. Obtaining new items and weapons allow alterations to your appearance and are detailed extensively. The NPCs, which you encounter, are also impressively detailed and makes interaction with them a joy.

    Multiplayer

The game can be played and enjoyed as a singleplayer experience. However, it is with friends that this game shines. Players are frequently encouraged to group up with other Guardians to overcome bigger and harder challenges. There will be parts of the game, which has to be undertaken as a group or «raid».

If you prefer old school classic multiplayer, you can engage in normal player versus player combat. Rake up points and show that you are the most badass player there is.

    Story

    Story

I have to admit; I had to read the story a couple of times in order to grasp it properly. Mostly because I found it odd that humanity would not try to seek out full understanding of a sudden life altering event. However, the story is very innovative and opens up for a richer lore to be developed upon.

The Traveler, a mysterious and powerful spheric construct, has appeared in our world. It allowed us to travel and colonize new planets. However, the Traveler has enemies, which has come to destroy it and all of humanity. It is up to us, the Guardians, to force back this evil. Thankfully, the Traveler provides Guardians with special powers, to aid them in their fight.
