Ferrari F2002/F2004
- Year Launched: 2002/2004
2 cars rooted in the same design. The F2002 had low centre of gravity, excellent handling, fuel economy and it shredded the opposition. The F2004 was a modified version and was even better. 15 wins from 19 races in 2002. 15 wins from 18 races in 2004.

Lotus 79
- Year Launched: 1978
The car that perfected "ground effect", the Lotus 79 was so far ahead of the pack that its drivers were literally out of sight after a few laps. The car cornered as if on rails and could easily zip past its slower opposition on the outside of tight bends. As long as it was reliable, it was untouchable.

Williams FW14B
- Year Launched: 1992
Powered by Renault and designed by Adrian Newey, this car dominated the 1992 F1 World Championship. Nigel Mansell took a record 5 straight wins in the opening 5 races and the opposition rarely got a look in. Mansell won an easy World Championship and teammate Ricardo Patrese cleaned up what was left.

Lotus 72

The Lotus 72 was one of the most innovative designs in F1 history. The innovative "wedge on wheels" design meant a streamlined and aerodynamically efficient car that handled well and which was 12mph faster than its predecessor. Released in 1970, the exact same car was still winning F1 races in 1974!

McLaren-TAG MP4/2
- Year Launched: 1984
1982 and 1983 had seen wildly unpredictable World Championships being played out. Turbos were in and "Ground Effect" was out. Reliability was generally very poor and team's struggled for consistency; 12 different drivers won the 16 races in 1982 and 8 different drivers won in 1983. And then, in 1984, this car won 12 out of 16 races as Niki Lauda and Alain Prost secured a World Championship 1-2, a record.

Jordan burst onto the F1 scene in 1991 in a car that is still regarded by many as one of the most aesthetically pleasing of all-time. Sleek and curvy, the 191 was also highly competitive. It was also the first F1 car to be driven by Michael Schumacher.

Renault RS01
- Year Launched: 1977
Derided by the competition and dubbed "The Yellow Teapot", the Renault RS01 was the first turbo car in Formula 1 history. Initially it wasn't very reliable or competitive, but that soon changed when Jean-Pierre Jabouille won Renault's first race at the 1979 French Grand Prix. By 1983, turbos were the standard F1 engine.
