In 1988 she applied to Boğaziçi University to study philosophy. However, she quit her studies to become a professional musician. She started to take private singing lessons and began singing for various orchestras. For two years she was a backing vocalist to Sezen Aksu and Sertab Erener, two of Turkey's most acknowledged female singers. In September 1997 her first album, entitled Yollar (Roads), was released, of which the first single, "Sabır" (Patience), became a big hit. She released her second album, Körebe (Blind Man's Bluff), in October 2001 under a Sony Music label. Its most successful single was "Depresyondayım" (I'm depressed).     Gülşen Bayraktar (pronounced [ɟylˈʃen bajɾakˈtaɾ], often known simply as Gülşen) is a Turkish pop singer. She registered increasing fame following the release of four albums and an image based on her sex-appeal. Her present image comes after the more conservative looks she had adopted during her earlier albums. Gülşen was born on 29 May 1976 in Istanbul. She did her studies in her Istanbul quarter of Şehremini and in the Turkish Classical Music Department of Istanbul Technical University. Her first album, Be Adam (O man!) which was released in 1995, gave Gülşen a good debut in Turkey's music world, and her second album, Erkeksen (If you are a man), came three years afterwards in 1998.     Cemre Kemer (born 1985 in Istanbul, Turkey) is a Turkish singer who rose to fame as one of the members of the pop group Hepsi. She, along with group member Gülçin, are considered the voice of the group taking on the lead vocals, most of the time. The colour in which the group where known for wearing in their music video's and concerts was blue, however she has recently seemed to adopted the colour yellow. Cemre Kemer was born in 1985 in Istanbul. She studied ballet at Mimar Sinan Güzel Sanatlar University along with other group member Yasemin Yürük and continues to study classic ballet at the same university. She took singing and piano lessons as a child. Kemer is known for making the rest of the group laugh and in their T.V series Hepsi 1 Kemer's character, based on herself, is often seen as a cleaning freak and a bossy character.     Muazzez Ersoy (born Hatice Yıldız Levent, August 9, 1958 in Istanbul, Turkey), is a Turkish classical and folk singer. Hatice Yıldız Levent was born on August 9, 1958 in Istanbul to Yaşar and Fatma Levent. Her family originally comes from a Black Sea town in Kastamonu. His father Yaşar was a taxi driver. She married in 1975, when she was just 17 years old. However, this was short lived when she and her husband divorced after she gave birth to their first son. She got a job at a cosmetics company and also pursued classical musical training at this time. In 1990 she decided to become a professional singer and took the professional name 'Muazzez Ersoy' after signing a record contract with Elenor Plak. Nebahat Çehre was born as Hilal Nebahat Çehre on 15 March, 1944, in Samsun, a city off the Black Sea in northern Turkey. Çehre is of Georgian origin from her father's side, Izzet Çehre, who was a lawyer, and her mother, Müzeyyen, was a housewife. After her father died of a fatal heart attack, Çehre, along with her family, moved from Samsun to Turkey's largest city, Istanbul, when Çehre was five years old. After relocating to Istanbul, Çehre's widowed mother Müzeyyen married a second time to a judge, and after having divorced in 1956, married a third time to a newspaperman named Cahit Poyraz within the 1960's. While recalling her childhood in much later interviews, Çehre had described herself as having been an extremely shy and easily embarrassed and startled little girl.
