Doğa Bekleriz (born 28 November 1977, Istanbul) is a Turkish model, actress and TV presenter. She recently also started a singing career with a group named Adrenalin formed with two other Turkish models, Gizem Özdilli and Nigar Talibova, with whom she also opened a cafe named "Models in the chic" which is located in the Ortaköy quarter of Istanbul. She made her first public appearances in 1996 and 1998 where she took part in two successive modelling competitions, organized by the Star TV and ATV TV channels respectively. She rapidly attained fame with a part she took in a Çelik Erişçi video clip, and since early 2005, has been modelling for prominent brand-names in Turkey. Göksel Demirpençe (born November 25, 1971 in İstanbul), better known as simply Göksel, is a Turkish folk pop/rock singer-songwriter. Göksel was born in Istanbul on November 25, 1971. In 1988 she applied to Boğaziçi University to study philosophy. However, she quit her studies to become a professional musician. She started to take private singing lessons and began singing for various orchestras. For two years she was a backing vocalist to Sezen Aksu and Sertab Erener, two of Turkey's most acknowledged female singers. She registered increasing fame following the release of four albums and an image based on her sex-appeal. She was the lead vocalist of the all-female hard rock band Volvox until 1994, after which she went on to pursue an illustrious solo career. İdil Üner (born 1 August 1971 in West Berlin, West Germany) is a German-Turkish actress. Üner studied at the Berlin University of the Arts. She received piano lessons for 17 years—starting from the age of 6—and formal opera training for two years. She joined the youth chapters of the Turkish-speaking theater Tiyatrom in Berlin of which her father was a founding member. She made her television debut in the series Tatort (Crime Scene) (1993) and her cinema debut with Rudolf Thome's The Secret. Nil Karaibrahimgil (born 17 October 1976 in Ankara, Turkey), also popularly known simply as Nil (Turkish for the Nile), is a well known Turkish singer and songwriter mostly noted for her distinct lyrics. Nil's passion and admiration for music stems from her father; Suavi Karaibrahimgil, who is also a musician although he is not currently active in the Turkish music industry. In 2000, she graduated from Boğaziçi University with a degree in International Relations. She also further received the Crystal Apple prize award twice, which recognized her achievements in advertising. Besides academic success, Nil has found fortune in the Turkish music scene. Many of her songs deal with love, marriage and relationships. On January 21, 2010 she married Sertab Erener's brother Serdar Erener near the shore of the Nile River. Sertab Erener (born 4 December 1964 in Istanbul) is a Turkish pop music singer and also a cross-over soprano with a vocal range that extends to high F. She is one of the most successful female Turkish pop singers in her homeland, and is considered one of the divas of Turkish pop music. In Europe, she is best known for winning the Eurovision Song Contest 2003 with her hit song "Every Way That I Can", although she has had many other achievements outside Turkey. A native of Istanbul, Erener studied history of music in a university in the city before beginning her musical career working with Turkish music icon Sezen Aksu. She released her first album, Sakin Ol, in 1992, and followed it with four more Turkish-language albums over the next decade. Her album Lâ'l was included by Sony Music in its "Soundtrack For A Century" collection. Sıla Gençoğlu is a Turkish musician. She usually goes by her first name, 'Sıla'. Sıla was born in Denizli. She worked before as a producer, lyricist and background singer for many Turkish artists, such as Kenan Doğulu and Emel Müftüoğlu. In 2007, she released her debut album Sıla. The first single, "...Dan Sonra", was the biggest hit song of the year in Turkey, spending 3 months at number one on the music charts, and reaching 79 in the European charts. Sumru Ağıryürüyen is a singer and mandolinist from Turkey. Her solo album Issız/Solitude was released under the label Kalan Music. She released two other albums (Ayde Mori and Balkan Journey) with the group "Balkan Journey". She has participated dozens of recordings since the 1980s. Singing mostly in the projects of kanun master Göksel Baktagir, oud master Yurdal Tokcan and with the Turkish music group Istanbul Sazendeleri, she prepared a project comprising the music of different ethnicities in Turkey, and another project with songs from different continents, Breath of the Earth.
